Now, just days ahead of its launch, the prices of the Mate 40 smartphones have been revealed online.
As per a report by tipster who goes by the name RODENT950 on Twitter, the prices of the upcoming Mate 40 series smartphones are exorbitant. While the Mate 40 Pro will cost roughly $1,300, the Mate 40 Pro+ is expected to cost $1,652 and the Mate 40 RS Porsche edition will be priced around $ 2,950. The tipster did not reveal how much the vanilla Mate 40 smartphone will cost.
In addition to the prices, the tipster revealed that the availability of the Mate 40 Pro+ and the Mate 40 RS Porshe edition will be weak.

In a separate tweet, the tipster revealed that the upcoming Mate 40 series smartphones will be up for pre-orders in China shortly after the launch starting October 22 and they go on sale in the country starting October 30. There is no word on the availability in the international markets yet.

Coming to the specs, the upcoming Mate 40 series smartphones will be powered by Kirin 1000 system-on-chip that will be manufactured using the 5nm process. They will run on the company's own HarmonyOS 2.0. In addition to that reports also hint towards the phone getting a dual-front camera setup sans the notch. At the back, the Mate 40 series is expected to get a quad camera setup that is housed inside a circular camera module.
