The iPhone 13 series is all set to be launched on September 14. While hearing rumours and leaks ahead of a launch isn't something new, a leaker has taken things to a whole different level. Popular tipster Job Prosser has leaked details of the iPhone 14 Pro Max a week before even the iPhone 13 lineup is announced. The leaker has revealed several ley details alongside design changes on both the front and back of the device. Here's what the tipster has revealed about next year's iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Jon Prosser has shared alleged details about next year's iPhone 14 Pro Max on his Front Page Tech website. As per the tipster, the 2022 high-end iPhone will feature a new design that will bid adieu to the infamous notch. It is tipped that the iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature a hole-punch front camera - in the past, analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has also claimed that this design change is incoming. Furthermore, the 2022 iPhone is said to have a thicker chassis allowing for no rear camera bump, with the lenses, LED flash, and LiDAR Scanner sitting flush with the rear glass. It could come with a titanium frame.

Apple is also allegedly borrowing design elements from the iPhone 4 for its 2022 iPhone lineup. As per the leak, the iPhone 14 series will feature round volume buttons that look similar to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 design. Moreover, the 2022 iPhones could get a redesigned speaker and microphone grilles with an elongated mesh cutout instead of individual holes at the bottom of the device. Another detail that is annoying a lot of critics is the presence of the Lightning connector. For reference, Apple insists on going with its proprietary connector instead of moving to the industry-standard USB Type-C.

According to Prosser, some of these design elements could change ahead of the official reveal next year. It is understandable since we are more than one year away from the iPhone 14 series. While one of the leakers on Twitter said that this could be an incorrect leak, display analyst Ross Young has corroborated the latest reveal from Prosser. Young first shared his predictions for under-display Face ID in June, but highlighted them again today following the ‌iPhone‌ 14 series leaks As per the analyst, Apple is working on under-display Face ID for the ‌iPhone‌ 14 Pro and Pro Max models.

For reference, it is said that Apple is rumoured to launch four models in the iPhone 14 series. However, it is tipped to drop the iPhone 14 mini in favour of the iPhone 14 Max. Hence, we could get iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
