JioPhone Next smartphone is tipped to launch on September 10. The device is touted to be the cheapest smartphone in India. As such, JioPhone Next price is expected to be around $50. It was first announced at the Reliance AGM earlier this year. At the announcement, the company had said that it will launch the smartphone on Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival takes place on September 10. Hence, we are assuming that the JioPhone Next launch will happen later this week. Since then, we haven't heard much about the phone. However, as per the images shared by the company, it can be seen that the 4G handset will come with sizeable bezels - both on top and bottom.

For the unaware, Reliance has developed its JioPhone Next in partnership with Google. It is tipped to come with some unique features customised for Indian users. It is touted to have real-time translation onboard - thanks to the partnership with Google. Here's all we know about the JioPhone Next so far.

The JioPhone Next is aiming to be the cheapest 4G smartphone in the country. The smartphone is estimated to debut at ₹3,499. While this is the expected price, we can never be sure of the cost with Reliance. The JioPhone Next could end up being cheaper than the touted price.

JioPhone Next specs

As far as JioPhone Next specs are concerned, it could incorporate a chipset from Qualcomm. It is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 SoC, which supports 4G networks. JioPhone Next is rumoured to come in several storage configurations. Reliance could give the buyer a choice of 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM variants. In terms of internal storage options, the company might launch a 16GB variant and a 32GB variant.

JioPhone Next is said to run Android 11 out of the box. It is likely to be the Android Go edition of the OS. The device might feature a 5.5-inch display with HD resolution. Other features onboard could include GPS, eMMC 4.5 storage and even Bluetooth 4.2. The new JioPhone Next will be launched in several colour options, including a blue variant.
