Although a lot of flagship smartphones have already seen the light of the day this year, some still remain and are probably worth the curiosity. Typically we see Huawei, Google, Apple, Samsung and others coming with flagships in the second half of every year and this year might not be different. So, here’s a compilation of rumours that are making rounds on the web for the Google Pixel 4A, Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Huawei mate 40, Apple iPhone 12 and Lenovo’s first ever gaming smartphone, tipped as Lenovo Legion Gaming phone.
Google Pixel 4A
Out of all the smartphones that are rumoured to arrive later this year, Google Pixel 4A is the most talked about. And that is because it is supposed to be the more affordable version of Pixel 4, which never came to certain countries including India. The Pixel 4A, which is now said to arrive sometime in October, may feature a 5.81-inch FHD+ OLED display, and run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 730 processor. It could sport a 12.2-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. All this may arrive along with a 3080mAh battery. As for the price, the device is expected to be priced at $399.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is also one of the rumoured smartphones these days. The handset is said to come alongside two more variants this time and may feature a flatter screen than last time, something similar to what is seen on Galaxy S20 handsets. As per rumours it might be powered by Snapdragon 865/Exynos 992, up to 16GB RAM and 4300mAh battery. On the camera front it could sport Samsung’s 108-megapixel ISOCELL Bright HM1 sensor successor along with a couple of more sensors.
Apple iPhone 12
Apple is expected to launch as many as four iPhones later this year - iPhone 12, 12 Pro, 12 Max and 12 Pro Max. The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max may feature 120Hz refresh rate MotionPro displays as well. Some other expected specifications include Apple A14 Bionic chipset. Three rear cameras with an additional LiDAR sensor for better AR features and depth recognition and flatter bezels on the side, similar to what was there in the iPhone 5, 5S. There is no word on the battery specifications though. There could also be a new Navy Colour option.
Huawei Mate 40
Huawei is also supposed to launch its Mate 40 phablet with Kirin 1000 SoC manufactured by TSMC using 5nm technology. One of the latest rumours suggest at least one lens to feature 108-megapixel count along with a few other sensors for telephoto, wide angle and more. It might also be one of the few Huawei phones that could run on the company's own apps instead of Google Apps.
Lenovo Legion Gaming phone
Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone has been leaked a few times. The handset is expected to feature top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 144Hz refresh rate display, pop up cameras, dual headphone jack and 5000mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor could be placed on the side embedded on the power button. This will likely be a competitor to Asus ROG Phone 3 that is also expected to arrive later this year.
