After testing the Android 11 beta build for its Velvet 5G smartphone, LG has finally released the stable update of the operating system for the masses. For now, the version is rolling out to users in South Korea for the model LM-G900N. The firmware brings the software version G900N2C and weighs around 2.2GB. Although the complete change log of the Android 11 version is not available yet, one can expect the handset to feature a redesigned UI and all the Android 11 features that comes built in.

It is also being said that since Android 11 has started rolling out to LG Velvet 5G in South Korea, it might also be reaching to other markets soon.

Priced at 49,900, LG Velvet features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ POLED display. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor and packs 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. There's a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 2TB.

On the LG Velvet, there's a triple-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone houses a 16-megapixel camera up front for selfies.

The smartphone packs a 4,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support. Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and USB Type-C port. The smartphone is also IP68 rated and has MIL-STD-810G certification.

This was launched last year alongside the LG Wing, company's first T-shaped phone. More recently, during CES 2021 earlier this month, the firm showcased its first-ever rollable screen smartphone.

What's interesting is that the company is also considering to either quit the smartphone market or scale down the business in future.
