LG working on dual-screen smartphone with unique T-shape design
‘LG Wing’ is expected to be the Korean company’s next dual-screen smartphone with a very unique design.
LG is reportedly working on a new dual-screen smartphone with probably the most unique design ever. The phone is designed in the shape of the letter ‘T' with the second screen placed at the bottom of the primary screen.
This dual-screen smartphone is codenamed ‘LG Wing' and it has been leaked by Korean news site ETnews. Going by the image of the phone we can see that the smaller 4-inch screen appears at the bottom and it will most likely have a pulling mechanism. The bigger screen has a 6.8-inch display and it rests horizontally when the secondary screen is pulled out.
This dual screen design is said to offer an immersive experience for activities like watching videos and browsing the web. It is also said to be helpful for photo editing with the image on the primary screen and editing tools on the smaller one.

In terms of specs, LG Wing is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 700-series chipset along with 5G support. It will house three rear cameras at the back with a 64-megapixel primary sensor. There's no official word from LG but this smartphone could launch in the second half of this year.
This isn't the first dual-screen phone from LG as it already has the G8X ThinQ. It has two 6.4-inch screens sitting on either side of the phone when opened. When the phone is closed the date and time and notifications appear on the outer screen. LG G8X ThinQ is available in India at ₹54,990.
