Microsoft Surface Duo 2 with 5G connectivity, camera improvements in the works
The report says that Microsoft is also working on a new camera app update for the Surface Duo.
Microsoft launched the Surface Duo smartphone in the US and Europe last year. Now, word is that the company is working on the second-generation foldable display smartphone called the Microsoft Surface Duo 2.
As per a report by Windows Latest, Microsoft has been working on the next-generation Surface Duo smartphone, which is codenamed ‘Zeta'. The report also said that the Surface Duo 2 will come with 5G connectivity and camera improvements and that it will launch in 2021.
The publication spotted a job listing, which reveals the requirement of a “Principal Android Camera System Architect and Engineer” to develop both camera hardware and software for the next-generation Surface products.
Microsoft in its job listing noted that the engineer would work with the camera hardware team to create AI and ML features and enable “computational photography” to take image processing to the next level. The company in the job listing mentioned that the employee will have to work with independent camera developers for new camera apps.
Lastly, the report says that Microsoft is also working on a new camera app update for the Surface Duo. However, the update has been delayed for now.
