Moto Capri Plus receives BIS certification: Reports
Details of the device’s BIS certification were posted to Twitter, in a photo indicating that the device’s model number is XT2129-2.
Motorola has been busy lately, with the company launching the 2021 editions Moto G Stylus, Moto G Power and Moto G Play earlier this month, the upcoming arrival of the Snapdragon 870 powered Motorola Edge S next week and rumours of its first Snapdragon 888 phone, the Motorola Nio.
It appears that that's not all Motorola has in store, as two other devices codenamed Moto Capri and Capri Plus also showed up online earlier this month. Widely believed to be a pair of midrange phones, the latter has now received BIS certification, according to a report by Gizmochina.
Device leaker Mukul Sharma posted details of the device's BIS certification on Twitter, in a photo indicating that the device's model number is XT2129-2. However, Sharma did not share any further information, besides the confirmation that the device received the certification.

However, previous leaks and rumours point towards mid-range device specifications for the Moto Capri Plus, which will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 662 processor and a 5,000 mAh battery that charges at 20W. The device is also expected to ship in two variants - 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage, and 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage, based on previous leaks.

The device is expected to feature a quad-camera setup, with a 64MP primary sensor, an ultrawide lens, a macro lens and a depth sensor, while its front-facing counterpart should have a 13MP camera. However, these specifications are yet to be confirmed by the company and are based on leaks and rumours so far. On the software front, it appears that Motorola will thankfully ship the device with Android 11, but it is also likely to receive only one update - it is a Motorola mid-range device, after all.
