Moto Razr 2 launch may have been delayed to 2021

Motorola's second foldable smartphone may not launch this year as expected. Moto Razr 2 launch may have been delayed to 2021.

This comes from Ross Young who's the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants. He tweeted that the “Motorola Razr 2” has been delayed by a quarter due to Covid-19. And it will most likely not be available until 2021. Young doesn't confirm it but says that there's been news of the delay.

Motorola has so far been rumoured to launch the Razr 2 sometime in August this year. Lenovo's South Africa General Manager Thibault Dousson had also said that the next Moto foldable phone will launch in September. But it looks like the company's plans may have been affected due to the pandemic, and that doesn't seem surprising at all.

Moto Razr 2 which has been rumoured for quite some time, is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765 processor which has a built-in 5G chip. It could pack 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, and a 2,845mAh battery.

Moto Razr 2 is also expected to house Samsung's 48-megapixel camera at the rear, and a 20-megapixel camera up front for selfies. On the software front, Moto Razr 2 will most likely run Android 10 with customisations for its foldable display.
