OnePlus Nord vs Realme X3: The spec battle and price comparison

Realme recently unveiled its X3 smartphone in India priced the same at ₹24,999 for the base model. So, naturally we compared the two. See who wins.

OnePlus Nord vs Realme X3 (HT Tech)

OnePlus has finally unveiled its ‘Nord' smartphone in India. The handset is an attempt by the company to tap on to the sub- ₹30,000 market as its OnePlus 8 series is now classified as ‘premium', which also means it is out of reach for several customers. 

While OnePlus Nord gives them a chance to get a OnePlus-branded phone in a more pocket-friendly price, it also faces some tough competition, specially from its sister brand – Realme. Realme recently unveiled its X3 smartphone in India priced the same at ₹24,999 for the base model. So, naturally we compared the two. 

Display

OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch FHD+ resolution ‘Fluid AMOLED' screen with 90Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, Realme X3 comes with slightly bigger 6.6-inch FHD+ resolution LCD screen but with faster 120Hz refresh rate.

Processor

When it comes to powering the devices, OnePlus Nord features Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC that supports 5G as well. Realme X3 however, sports last year's flagship processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC.

Rear cameras

At the back, OnePlus Nord features a 48-megapixel primary Sony IMX586 sensor with 119 ultra-wide lens, depth and 2-megapixel Macro lens. Realme X3 get more pixels with a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor with 12-megapixel telephoto lens, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and 2-megapixel Macro lens.

Front camera

At the front, OnePlus Nord has a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 sensor with 105-degree ultra-wide lens while Realme X3 gets 16-megapixel primary front camera with 8-megapixel 105-degree ultra-wide angle lens.

RAM and storage

As for the RAM and storage options, Realme gives you two variants whereas OnePlus gives you three options. Realme X3 comes with 6+128GB and 8+128GB while OnePlus Nord comes in 6+64GB, 8+128GB and 12+256GB.

Battery

OnePlus Nord is backed by a 4100mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T tech, while Realme X3 has slightly bigger 4200mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge tech.

Prices

Coming to the prices, OnePlus Nord's 6GB+64GB, 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB are priced at Rs 24,999, Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999 respectively. Realme X3 is costs ₹24,999 for 6+128GB and ₹25,999 for 8+128GB.
