The Oppo Find X5 Pro will be another top-tier Android flagship the world is awaiting! So far, Oppo has confirmed offering its custom MariSilicon X NPU chip on the Find X5 Pro, along with a solid triple camera setup and a design that is unmistakably Oppo. However, just ahead of its launch on February 24, Oppo has now confirmed offering the Find X5 Pro in two variants. Both the variants will still be called the Pro but will have different chipsets inside. Sounds like Samsung, right?

The teasers on Chinese social media have confirmed the Find X5 Pro to have both a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version, and a Dimensity 9000 variant. The main model will use the Snapdragon chip while the one using the Dimensity 9000 will be more of a toned-down version, called the Oppo Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition. As a result, it is the Snapdragon version only that will get the MariSilicon X NPU chip.

The Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition will be unveiled in China first alongside the Snapdragon version. It remains to be seen whether Oppo brings this variant to global markets. The Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip are equally powerful on paper this year, with both of them having similar Cortex-X2 main performance core. They both differ in the GPU department, wherein the Mali-G710 takes care of the Dimensity 9000.

Other than the Find X5 Pro, Oppo is also going to release a couple of accessories. The Oppo Enco X2 will be unveiled here as the successor to last year's Oppo Enco X. The teasers confirm Oppo continuing t partner with Dynaudio for the tuning.

On the other hand, Oppo is also launching the Oppo Watch 2 on February 24/ The Watch 2 has a flatter design this year, more akin to the concept renders of the Apple Watch Series 7. It remains to be seen whether the Watch 2 will rely on Google's Wear OS platform, which has seen some activity lately after Samsung's Galaxy Watch 4 launch. The watch band has a translucent finish while the display is dominated by an edge-to-edge watch face, thereby suggesting very narrow bezels.
