Oppo K10 5G variant is a FLAGSHIP KILLER, not a budget smartphone! Just look at its specs
Oppo K10 5G leaks reveal a flagship-grade MediaTek chipset and could be aimed at gaming enthusiasts. Here are details.
Oppo K10 was announced in India last month as one of Oppo's affordable smartphones in India aimed at the young consumers. Hence, a 5G variant of the same phone can be considered to be a similarly affordable device. However, the leaks suggest otherwise. The Oppo K10 5G, which has just leaked on China's TENAA, shows a flagship-killer device instead of being an affordable midrange phone. This phone could give the likes of iQOO and Xiaomi high-end phones some serious competition.
Based on the leaks, it is said that the Oppo K10 5G will have a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 chipset. For those in the unknown, the Dimensity 8000 promises similar levels of performance as the Snapdragon 888 chipset. Hence, this phone could end up being a performance beats, considering the chip indie. In comparison, the Oppo K10 4G variant's Snapdragon 680 looks shamefully weaker in comparison. But wait till you look at the other specs and features of this phone.
Oppo K10 5G specs are surprising
While the Dimensity 8000 chipset certainly attracts eyeballs, the rest of the specs may not do so. The display on this phone is said to be a 6.5-inch LCD LTPS panel with 1080p resolution. A 16MO front camera will be sitting in a punch-hole cutout. The rear cameras will have a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a third 2MP camera. The phone is also listed with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The photos of the device also show a unique design that is reminiscent of the Oppo K10 4G. The design of the phone looks simple and the power button seems to hold a fingerprint sensor.
A phone like the Oppo K10 5G could easily challenge the likes of the Poco F3 GT in India, which is currently one of the most affordable gaming phones selling in India. Oppo could also take on the likes of the iQOO 9 SE, although these set of specs could make the iQOO an overall better bet.
While we have to wait for Oppo to reveal its plans regarding K10 5G for India, the company just recently got done launching its F 21 Pro series. The Oppo F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G are essentially renamed variants of the Reno 7 4G and Reno 7Z 5G, with both of them sitting in the sub- ₹30,000 smartphone space in India.
