Oppo Reno 8 series just made its debut last week! Firstly, the Reno 8 series hit the Chinese market with three major devices: Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+. And as soon as it made its global appearance, the expected launch date in India was revealed much to the surprise of everyone. Recently, Tipster Mukul Sharma tweeted a screenshot which looked like the listing of upcoming phones on the BIS website and one of those is none other than the Oppo Reno 8 Pro. Likewise, its predecessor, Oppo Reno 7 series, which launched in early 2022 with Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro, Oppo is also tipped to bring only two smartphones - Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro. Well, one of the highlighted ones among these is the Pro model of the latest lineup which packs the latest mid-range processor Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Let's have a look at Oppo Reno 8 Pro ahead of its launch in India.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro specs, features

A tipster Yogesh Brar has confirmed to 91Mobiles that the company seems to be gearing up for the launch of Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro smartphones in India. The Oppo phones are tipped to launch in late June or early July. As the Oppo Reno 8 series has already arrived in China, we know a lot about these smartphones.

Looking at the Pro model of the series, the Reno 8 pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC that runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12. It features a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. One of the major upgrades that the Oppo Reno 8 Pro has seen from its previous version is the support of 80W Super Flash Charge fast charging for a 4,500mAh battery.

Well, the good news for photography enthusiasts is that it boasts the same camera specs as the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+. You will get a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera along with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP microsensor. This is also equipped with Mariana MariSilicon X chip for still imaging and better videos. In front, it features a 32MP selfie camera.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro expected price in India

The Reno 8 Pro was launched in three memory variants in China. Starting with the base 8GB + 128GB model, it is priced at CNY 2999 (around Rs. 35,000), while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB models are priced at CNY 3199 (approx Rs. 37,300) and CNY 3499 (roughly ₹40,800) respectively. Though, the official price of the Reno 8 Pro in India will get confirmed only at the time of launch itself.
