Oppo Reno6 shows up on a certification website, processor details revealed

The Reno6 is expected to feature a 65W fast charging tech, which is increasingly becoming a norm in Android flagships these days.

More leaks and rumours on Oppo's upcoming smartphone, Reno6, has made it to the web. There is no official announcement yet but the leaks come from a tipster Abhishek Yadav on Twitter. Yadav, through several screenshots, states that Reno6 is already in the works. According to the tipster, Oppo Reno6 has been spotted on 3C certification with model number PEPM00. He even revealed some rumoured specifications of the device.

The Reno6 is expected to feature a 65W fast charging tech, which is increasingly becoming a norm in Android flagships these days. You may also get a 90Hz refresh rate screen alongside 8GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage. There might be some other variants as well about which we may hear later.

The tipster says the Reno6 to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 1200, the processor which was launched by the Taiwanese firm earlier this year. Until now, only Realme has teased a smartphone coming with this processor. Xiaomi is also said to bring a Redmi phone with the same SoC. However, what remains to be seen is which one of these three is the first to come with this chipset.

As for the operating system, tipster says that the Reno6 runs Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.

While the Reno6 launch seems imminent, Oppo is aggressively pushing out more Rno 5 handsets in the market. Earlier this month it launched the Reno 5 F with MediaTek Helio P95 in Kenya. In the same month, it launched the Reno 5 Marvel Edition in limited quantities. In February, it introduced the Reno 5K and in January it launched the Reno 5 Pro 5G in India. That said, the Reno 5 Z is also said to launch in certain markets.
