Poco C31 price on launch may rival Realme Narzo 50I, Narzo 30A

Poco C31 price may be around the ₹10,000-mark like Realme Narzo 50I, Narzo 30A. The Poco C31 is rumoured to retain the same Helio G35 chip and battery.

Poco has announced that the Poco C31 launch in India will happen on September 30. The teasers have gone up on social media, suggesting a feature-packed package for entry-level smartphone buyers. The teaser image reveals the design of the phone from the front, showing its waterdrop notch display. Rumours have suggested a mildly refreshed Poco C3 as the base for the C31. And as far as Poco C31 price on launch in India is concerned, then it may well be in the same region as Realme Narzo 50I and Narzo 30A prices.

The Poco C31 will be unveiled at an online event on September 30 at 12 noon. Since the phone was hinted on Flipkart as part of its Big Billion days sale launches, it seems that the device will go on sale during the sale period. Poco is yet to reveal any of the internal specifications as well as the overall design.

Poco C31 launching this week

The Poco C31 is expected to be a successor to the more popular Poco C3 from last year. After Redmi's mild refresh of its Redmi 9 series devices last week, it seems Poco is also following the trend. With chip prices increasing owing to the supply chain constraints and raw material shortage, entry-level phones are most likely to see minor refreshes this time.

Rumours have long suggested that the Poco C31 will be largely based on the Poco C3, albeit with some changes. Hence, it won't be surprising to see the Poco C31 using the same MediaTek Helio G35 chipset, which only supports 4G LTE networks. Rumours also suggest Poco upgrading to a Helio G85 chip if Poco decides to slot it above the Poco C3 in terms of pricing.

There is also the possibility of a large 5000mAh battery powering the phone along with a triple camera setup and possibly a fingerprint scanner for biometric verification. With phones like the Realme Narzo 50A and Narzo 30A sitting around the ₹10,000 price bracket, Poco C31 price might be positioned accordingly to gain some competitive advantage.

While the Poco C31 may go on sale during the Flipkart Big Billion Day sale, another of its popular model is enjoying a big discount. The Poco X3 Pro will be available with a price cut of ₹2,000, thereby bringing the starting price down to ₹16,999.
