And amidst all the hype around the smartphone, the device seems to have shown up on Geekbench benchmark testing, revealing some of the specs before the actual launch. The listing not just re-confirms the name of the handset but also shows it to be powered by a Qualcomm processor that will have 8 cores and a base frequency of 1.80Gz.

We won’t have to wait for long to know more about the smartphone as the launch date for India is scheduled for July 7. The online event will begin at 12 noon and will most likely be live streamed. Poco will share updates on the launch via its social media platforms soon. Poco M2 Pro will also be available exclusively via Flipkart.

Speculations also indicate that the Poco M2 Pro is the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. If true, it may also feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ LCD screen, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, four rear cameras at the back and over 5000mAh battery. The latest teaser also hints at the inclusion of fast charging tech with “feel the surge” promotion. Although the details are not known, what’s interesting is that the Redmi Note 9 Pro also supports fast charging tech at 30W.
