Realme does a first, enters feature phone market in India with Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300

Realme has stepped into the lowest end of the phone market in India with the launch of 2 feature phones today. This comes just days after it launched its partner brand Dizo. The two feature phones are Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300.

After making a name for itself with its smartphones, smart TVs and audio products, Realme now has gone ahead and done a first in India - launch feature phones. This comes barely days after it unveiled a new partner brand called Dizo here. Today, it has launched the Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300 feature phones. The phones support 2G data connectivity and come with most of the traditional features users have come to expect from feature phones in the country.

Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300 price in India

The Dizo Star 500 is priced at 1,799 and it will be sold in a green colour variant on Flipkart. Similarly, the Dizo Star 300 will also be available in a blue colour variant from Flipkart and is priced at 1,299 in the country. However, there is no officially announced date for the first sale of both the Dizo-branded feature phones.

Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300 specifications

The Dizo Star 500 smartphone comes with a 2.8-inch colour display and is powered by a 2550mAh battery. The device comes with a rectangular body that features curved edges. The Dizo Star 300 has a smaller candybar design with a 1.77-inch display and comes with a 1900mAh battery. The Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300 both support 5W charging and come with a VGA rear camera and a built-in LED flashlight.

The Dizo Star 500 comes with features like FM Radio, Calendar, Sound Recorder, File Manager, Music Player and Bluetooth. Both the Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300 come with 32MB of internal storage (expandable to 64GB via MicroSD) and comes with a 3.5mm jack and Micro USB port. They will both support regional languages, in addition to the built-in English language support. These include Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telegu, and Kannada. Meanwhile, the Dizo Star 300 will also come with support for Bengali and Kannada.
