Redmi 9 to go on sale today at 12 noon, all you need to know

Xiaomi's budget phone Redmi 9 is scheduled to go on sale in India later today. Redmi 9 was launched in India last month, and it's priced under ₹10,000.
The sale for Redmi 9 will take place via Amazon India and mi.com, and it will start at 12 PM. Redmi 9 starts at ₹8,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage that's priced at ₹9,999. The smartphone is available in three colour options of Carbon Black, Sky Blue and Sporty Orange.
As far as specifications are concerned, Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch HD+ display with a notch on top. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek's Helio G35 octa-core processor paired with the Hyper Engine game technology. It also supports expandable storage up to 512GB via a microSD card.
In the camera department, Redmi 9 offers two rear cameras featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There's a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. Its camera features include AI scene detection, AI selfie, portrait mode and pro mode.
Redmi 9 is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. Xiaomi claims the phone will last for two days on a single charge. Redmi 9 also comes with P2i coating making it splash-proof. Its connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, VoWiFi, dual SIM support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the software front, Redmi 9 runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10. The smartphone also comes with system-wide dark mode on all apps.
