Redmi 9i to go on sale today at 12 noon, all you need to know

Xiaomi's latest budget phone ‘Redmi 9i' will go on its first sale today. The smartphone will be available to purchase via Flipkart and Xiaomi India's official website.
Redmi 9i starts at ₹8,299 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also comes with 128GB of storage capacity, and this variant is priced at ₹9,299. Redmi 9i has three colour options of Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green colour options.
Redmi 9i has a 6.53-inch HD+ LCD display with a notch on top. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek's Helio G25 octa-core processor. It also has microSD card support for storage expansion up to 512GB. Redmi 9i also comes TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, and P2i coating making it splash proof.
For photography, Redmi 9i has a single 13-megapixel rear camera with features such as portrait mode, document scanner and kaleidoscope. It houses a 5-megapixel camera up front for selfies.
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. Xiaomi says that the Redmi 9i can be used daily for more than 2.5 years with no damage to the battery.
On the software front, Redmi 9i runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box. With MIUI 12, Redmi 9i offers features like system-wide dark mode. Connectivity options on the Redmi 9i include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, microUSB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual 4G standby.
