There's some new evidence out there, discovered by XDA-Developers member kacskrz, about a new Redmi device within some lines of code in a recent MIUI 12 build. The device the information is about is codenamed ‘cezanne' and reports have it that this is the Redmi K30 Ultra.

A deeper dive into the code reveals that the smartphone is going to come with four cameras on the back and a pop-up selfie camera. The main camera on the rear is expected to be a 64MP one, but there is no information about the other three yet.

Reports also suggest that this new Redmi device will be powered by the MediaTek processor. Given that one of the cameras on the back is a 64MP one, a more ‘capable' processor is ideal to handle the extra camera resolution. The one chipset that fits the brief here is the Dimensity 1000 that comes with 5G support.

Most of the 5G phones that have been launched by Xiaomi and Redmi so far have been powered by Qualcomm chipsets, except for the Redmi 10X/10X Pro. The MediaTek Dimensity 1000 series SoC has three variants - Dimensity 1000, Dimensity 1000L and Dimensity 1000+. There are no smartphones in the market yet that come with the Dimensity 1000.
