Samsung's next-generation budget smartphone, the Galaxy A72, has been in the news for quite some time. Earlier this week, a Samsung smartphone with the model number SM-A725F was spotted on Geekbench. The news comes as a courtesy of the tipster who goes by the same The Tech Guy on Twitter who first spotted the listing. As per the details shared by the tipster, a Samsung phone with model number SM-A725F has been listed on the BIS website. This is the same model number that was listed on Geekbench (via GizmoChina).
For those of you who aren't sure, SM-A725F is the model number for the 4G variant of the Galaxy A72 smartphone, while SM-A726F, which has been a subject of numerous reports in the past is the phone's 5G variant. Together the two listings indicate that the Samsung Galaxy A72 4G is inching closer to a launch and that it could very well be the first budget smartphone that the company launches in 2021. The listing also shows that the 4G variant of the Galaxy A72 will come with dual-SIM support.

If the reports are to believed Samsung could launch the 4G variant of the phone in markets like India where 5G connectivity isn't available and the 5G variant of the Galaxy A72 in the markets where 5G is available.
Connectivity aside, the phone is tipped to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It will come with a 64MP + 12MP + 5MP + 5MP camera setup at the back.
