Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy M12 in India will come with features like a 48-megapixel quad-camera setup, 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display, and Exynos 8nm processor.

Samsung on Monday said that the company would launch Galaxy M12 in India on March 11. The company has also revealed some of the key specifications of the upcoming smartphone.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy M12 will come with a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will also house a 48-megapixel quad-camera setup with features like ISOCELL Plus technology and an upgraded GM2 sensor. The company said the Galaxy M12 would run on an in-house Exynos 8nm processor. It will also have a 6,000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy M12 will be available at Samsung.com, Amazon and retail outlets on March 11. The company has also set up a dedicated microsite for the new phone.

The official renders reveal a square-like camera array on the back. The LED flash sits outside the array. The rear panel appears to have a plastic shell. The front houses the aforementioned Infinity-V cutout. The base has speaker grilles, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. There is no fingerprint reader slot on the back. The phone likely has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

That said, Samsung has already launched the Galaxy M12 in other markets. The phone comes in Attractive Black, Elegant Blue and Trendy Emerald Green colour options.

The global version of Galaxy M12 features a 6.5-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution and an Infinity-V notch. It also runs on an octa-core processor. It comes in three storage configurations of 3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The smartphone also features a microSD card slot for expandable storage up to 1TB.

The camera combination on the back consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

Another highlight of the phone is the 6,000mAh battery. It comes with 15W fast charging support. It is said to deliver up to 24 hours of web browsing, video playback for 23 hours and music playback for almost five days.

Samsung Galaxy M12 is likely to launch in India with the same or similar set of specifications.
