Samsung Galaxy S20 FE with 120Hz refresh rate, triple rear cameras launched

After weeks of rumours and leaks, Samsung has finally lifted the curtains from its Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE) in the US starting at $699 for the 5G version. There is a 4G version as well. It will be made available through Samsung.com, carriers and retailers online starting October 2. However, pre-orders for both 5G and 4G models will begin from September 23. 

As for the specifications, the smartphone has a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O screen with 407ppi and 120Hz refresh rate. It comes in two processor variants, which looking at Samsung's history could be the Exynos and Qualcomm Snapdragon versions. On paper, the difference between the two lies in the clock speed only. This is complemented by 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128/356GB storage for the 5G model and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage for the 4G model. The storage space can however, be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card.

On the camera front, there is a triple rear camera setup including a 12-megapixel ultra wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture + 12-megapixel wide angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there is a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
