Samsung is working on a new smartphone with a 7,000mAh battery. According to a 91Mobiles report, the smartphone could launch as Samsung Galaxy M12 or Galaxy F12. The report also reveals leaked images and key specifications of the phone.

The report points out that the leaked live image (back panel) has SM-M127F/ SM-F127G model number etched on it, which means it could be either called Galaxy M12 or F12. It adds the phone also has “M05” mentioned, but it is highly unlikely to be named so. According to the report, Samsung Galaxy M12/Galaxy F12 is in development at the company's facility in India.

Leaked images reveal the phone has a square-like camera array on the back. The module houses four cut-outs for sensors. It also appears to have an LED flash spot at the centre. The leaked back panel also reveals a textured design, giving it a distinct look from some of the recently launched Galaxy phones.

Samsung Galaxy M12/Galaxy F12 is said to come with a 6.7-inch display with a punch-hole cut-out to house the front-facing camera. The smartphone will reportedly run on an Exynos 9611 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It could offer a combination of 48-megapixel, 8-megapixel, and 5-megapixel sensors on the back. For selfies, it could have a 16-megapixel sensor.

Samsung Galaxy M12/Galaxy F12 is expected to launch later this month and could be priced around 13,000.

That said, Samsung had launched Galaxy M51 in India in September this year. Featuring a 7,000mAh battery, the phone is available for a starting price of 24,999.

Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz coupled with Adreno 618 GPU. The phone comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The back-camera setup features 64-megapixel primary sensor (Sony IMX 682), 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (123-degree field of view), and 5-megapixel macro lens. For selfies, it has a 32-megapixel camera.
