Samsung NOT improving charging speeds on next-gen foldables? SHOCKING leak!
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 could end up with the same slow 25W charging solution. Here are all the details.
In an era when most brands are offering blazing fast charging speeds promising a full top-up under 20 minutes, Samsung offers its rather leisurely charging solutions on its flagships. The Galaxy S22 Ultra gets only a 45W charging solution that take sits own sweet time to fill up the battery. In the real world, the 45W charging speed is not as fast as it seems. And it seems that Samsung in unwilling to make any changes to that later this year as its unveils its next generation of foldable smartphones.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are now said to retain the same slow 25W charging solution. These phones are with the 25W charging solution said to have passed certifications site and have been listed with the 25W charger. No upgrade to the 45W charging as seen on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Samsung foldable not getting big upgrades in charging
Previous leaks have spoken about the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and there are some big changes coming this year. Rumours had long suggested the presence of a S Pen stylus getting a place inside the body of the phone, just like the Galaxy S22 Ultra. However, one of the latest leaks says that the S Pen stylus is not getting a home on the Fold 4 since Samsung wants to reduce the weight and overall dimensions of its flagship foldable. This is also the reason the 4400mAh battery capacity is also remains unchanged on the Fold 4.
What is changing though is the camera setup on the rear. Instead of the 12MP triple rear camera setup from the Fold 3, the Fold 4 will come with a similar camera setup as the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This will consist of a 108MP main camera, another 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3X zoom.
The battery life on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 were not great and with Samsung not increasing the battery capacity, it remains to be seen how these phones will survive the real world. This is especially after Samsung is likely to use the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
On the other hand, Motorola is coming up with the third generation of RAZR foldable, called the RAZR 3. The new RAZR leaks have shown a new design on the outside and inside, completely ditching the iconic RAZR design elements.
