Samsung is rolling out yet another update for Galaxy S20 FE users in a bid to fix issues related to the touchscreen. The company last month released two updates for 5G and 4G version of the Galaxy S20 FE to fix screen issues. Despite the updates, users continued to face issues such as ghost touches and jittery movement when scrolling, reports GSMArena.

The latest update, build number G781BXXU1ATK1, has begun rolling out this week. “The stability of Touch screen has been improved,” says the changelog.

According to a Reddit user ingongingong (via GSMArena), the update does not resolve the issue properly as the “jittery scroll still happens, but less happen.” The user claims that the issue with pinch-zooming in or out is still affecting the phone.

Some Reddit users suspect the issue could be related to hardware – a critical one (if any) will require the company to recall the device from the market.

“3 attempts and still no fix. The writing is on the wall guys. Return your devices if you still can, if you are outside the refund and return window contact your local consumer protection agency. For the USA that would be the FTC, search this thread for a link to it that was posted previously. And if you were considering buying this phone, stay away until a new hardware revision is released without this problem,” said a Reddit user in the thread.

Another user wrote: “It was noticeable from day one. I couldn't figure out why 120Hz screen looked like it was having a minor stroke when scrolling […] I was getting so many more typos using G-Board than on my Note 9. The two updates have made very minor improvements, but I still want to throw this POS out the window at least two or three times a day.”
