Samsung’s affordable Galaxy Note 20 variant in the works, here is what you will get

Apart from a premium Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Samsung is also working on an entry-level Galaxy Note 20 model. The phone will have the latest processor but will cut some corners in camera and design departments.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 details have continued to leak online ahead of the August 5 Galaxy Unpacked event. After Galaxy Note 20 Ultra's mega leak, key features of an entry-level Galaxy Note 20 have been unofficially revealed.

According to an AndroidAuthority report, Samsung's cheaper Galaxy Note 20 will come with limited features without losing the premium look and feel. The smartphone is said to have a smaller 6.7-inch display with full HD resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the premium Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is said to have a larger 6.9-inch display, 120Hz refresh rate, and QHD+ resolution.

The rumoured Samsung Galaxy Note 20 variant will skip 5G support. It is will reportedly launch with dual-SIM and e-SIM support. The phone will have a 4,300mAh battery, on par with other phones in the upcoming lineup.

The phone will cut some corners in the camera department as well. Instead of Note 20 Ultra's 108-megapixel sensors, the said model will have a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor.

While the phone will have the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor, it will be available with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB built-in storage with no expandable storage support. The premium models are said to come with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB built-in storage.

Other rumoured features of the phone include IP68 water resistance and in-display fingerprint sensor. Akin to the Lite models launched earlier this year, this variant of Galaxy Note 20 may have a plastic back panel.

The phone will most likely make its debut on August 5 when the company officially showcases the Galaxy Note 20 series. Samsung will also launch Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Buds and other new hardware.
