Vivo S9e with Dimensity 820 processor is coming soon, key specs leaked

Vivo is gearing up for the launch of its S9 series next month. Ahead of the official launch, key details of the S9 have already leaked online. Now, a new leak reveals information about the cheaper member of the upcoming series. Dubbed as Vivo S9e, the phone is said to come with MediaTek Dimensity 820 processor.

The leak (via Gizmochina) further says that the S9e will come with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display sourced from Samsung. The screen will also offer a 90Hz refresh rate. The front will also house a 32-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, the phone will reportedly come with a 64-megapixel triple rear camera setup. Details about other camera sensors are not known yet.

Apart from MediaTek's Dimensity 820 processor, Vivo S9e is rumoured to come with 8GB of RAM. There will also be a 12GB RAM version. The phone will come with up to 256GB of storage. A 4,100mAh battery is said to power the phone. It will come with 33W fast charging support.

According to the report, Vivo S9e could be the same Vivo phone that was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website recently. The listing revealed the phone with model number Vivo V2048A has 8GB of RAM and Android 11 OS.

The “e” variant doesn't look very different from the main S9. The biggest difference is going to be the MediaTek's Dimensity 1100 processor. Vivo S9 is also touted as the world's first phone with the latest MediaTek chipset.

As far as specifications go, leaks suggest Vivo S9 will come with a 6.44-inch display with an AMOLED panel and 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is said to have a dual-front camera with a 44-megapixel primary sensor and 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. The primary sensor is said to be Samsung GH1. On the back, it will reportedly come with a triple rear camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Other leaked specifications of the phone are 12GB RAM, 4,000mAh battery, and Android 11 OS.
