Vivo V21 has gone on sale in India today. Touted as the world’s first phone with a 44-megapixel OIS front camera, V21 is available through Vivo’s retail partners, Flipkart, and Vivo’s India e-store. The smartphone comes in two versions, priced at ₹29,990 and ₹32,990, respectively.
Vivo has also announced a few offers and schemes on the V21. For online customers, Vivo is offering a flat ₹2,000 discount to HDFC Bank customers. It is also bundling complete mobile protection against all damages under its V-Sheild scheme. Other offers are up to ₹3,000 off on exchange and no-cost EMI for 12 months.
Offline offers are flat 10% cashback with HDFC & Kotak Bank along with complete mobile protection against all damages with V-shield (offer valid till May 12), 10% cashback with Bajaj Finance or one-time EMI cashback with IDFC First Bank (offer valid till May 31), and flat ₹2,500 cashback HDFC & Kotak Bank and 1-time Screen replacement (offer valid between May 13-31).
Vivo V21 specifications and features
As mentioned above, Vivo V21 comes with a 44-megapixel OIS selfie camera. On the back, it houses a 64-megapixel OIS camera setup. Other rear camera sensors are an 8-megapixel wide-angle + bokeh sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
Vivo V21 comes with a 6.44-inch full HD+ E3 AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It supports expandable storage up to 1TB via a microSD card. On the software front, it runs on Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.1.
The handset houses a 4,000mAh battery with support for 33W FlashCharge fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, it supports 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1 and USB Type-C port. The smartphone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
