After the Vivo X60 series, the company is moving towards the X70 series now and they might launch here in September this year in partnership with the Indian Premier League (IPL). The X60 series was launched in March this year after its debut in China. In China, the Vivo X60 and the Vivo X60 Pro were launched with the Exynos 1080 SoC while the Indian variants came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. It is expected that Vivo might bring three phones in the X70 series like it did with the X60 but the company has not shared any details about what their next flagship X-series device is going to be.

As per a Gizmochina report that cites a tipster called Yogesh, the Vivo X70 series should see a September launch and come in a partnership with IPL. Now, the remainder of the IPL matches have been scheduled to take place in September and October in the UAE, as BCCI has said. Since Vivo is the IPL sponsor, it is not surprising that the X70 series' launch is being pegged to happen around that time as well.

While we do not know a whole lot about the Vivo X70 series, we do know a bit about the Vivo X70 Pro+ that surfaced online last month. In all likelihood, the Vivo X70 Pro+ is going to be the top variant in the series like the Vivo X60 Pro+ was. The X70 Pro+ might come with the Snapdragon 888 and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. While the X70 Pro+ does have some upgraded specs over the X60 Pro+, both the devices share the same SoC.

A Vivo phone with model number V2123A was spotted on Geekbench last month and is believed to be the base version of the X70 series. The Geekbench listing for this smartphone “hinted” at the new MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC and came with an 8GB RAM running Android 11. The Vivo X70 moniker was also “allegedly” spotted on the IMEI database with model number V2104. Now, Vivo has not officially announced anything about the X70 series, so we'll have to wait and watch.
