Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge for India CONFIRMED, launching on January 6
Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, Xiaomi 11i are set to launch in India on January 6, 2022. 120W fast charging confirmed!
The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge has finally been confirmed for India. Xiaomi India has floated an event page, confirming the Xiaomi 11i series launch for January 6, 2022. This means that we are getting both the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. Xiaomi India has also confirmed the 120W fast charging system on the HyperCharge variant.
Note that rumours had long suggested the Xiaomi 11i series launching by the end of 2021. The Xiaomi 11i is expected to be based on the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 11 Pro whereas the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge is expected to be based on the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. Xiaomi India is yet to reveal other details for the phone.
Xiaomi 11i series coming to India on January 6
The highlight on the Xiaomi 11i series is the 120W fast charging system. The Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge could end up being the first phone to bring the 120W charging technology to India, despite previous phones from 2021 also supporting the same. Xiaomi claims that a 0-100 percent top-up can be achieved in 15 minutes.
The teaser also reveals the boxy design language that we saw earlier on the Redmi Note 11 Pro Chinese variant. It also seems that Xiaomi is bringing two colour variants only for now: blue and pink.
Note that the Redmi Note 11 Pro duo, on which these Xiaomi 11i models are expected to based on, bring notable upgrades over the ageing Xiaomi Mi 10i. Hence, you can expect a 120Hz 6.7-inch AMOLED display as standard and the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chip under the hood, and a 108MP main rear camera as standard.
The Xiaomi 11i is most likely to retain a 67W fast charging whereas the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge is getting the 120W system. Xiaomi could be positioning these phones in the sub- ₹30,000 segment, where Realme is also expected to bring its Realme GT 2 series.
