Xiaomi launches ‘Mi Smart Upgrade’ with up to 70% buyback value

Xiaomi has launched a new buyback scheme for its Redmi and Mi devices. It's called ‘Mi Smart Upgrade', and it is available at all Xiaomi authorised retail outlets. Xiaomi users can get up to 70% of assured value within 4-6 months with the new buyback scheme.

The Mi Smart Upgrade program lets users upgrade their existing Mi or Redmi device after three months of purchasing them. The upgrade program stays till 15 months of the phone's purchase. Xiaomi assures an exchange value starting from 40% and going up to 70% which is based on the SRP (Suggested Retail Price) of the phone. For devices exchanged within 4-6 months, the buyback value is set at 70%, and for the 7-9 month period users can get 60% buyback value. As for devices between 10-12 months and 13-15 months the buyback value is 50% and 40%, respectively.

The program is also applicable on phones with expired warranty till 15 months from the date of purchase. The Mi Smart Upgrade program is available on six Redmi phones and three Mi phones. Redmi 9 Prime and Redmi 9 buyback program starts at 399. For the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro it starts at 499 and 549, respectively.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is also eligible for this program with its buyback plans starting at 599. Redmi K20 Pro also comes with buyback options starting at 999. Xiaomi's premium smartphones Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro are available with plans starting at 1,499 and 1,699, respectively. Lastly, the Mi 10 can be exchanged with its buyback plans starting at 1,999.
