Xiaomi sells Mi 10i worth ₹200 crore during the first sale

Mi 10i is a new mid-range handset from Xiaomi that offers 108-megapixel camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G, and 5G.

Xiaomi's Mi on Tuesday announced that it sold Mi 10i worth over ₹200 crore during its first sales. The Mi 10i had gone on sale for Prime members on Amazon.in on January 7 and across all Mi.com, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting January 8.

Xiaomi also said that more than 1.5 million users had registered themselves for the notification of the launch on Amazon India. Xiaomi's Mi 10i is available in India for a starting price of ₹20,999. The top-end model of the phone is priced at ₹23,999.

“We are truly overwhelmed with the love and response received from our Mi fans and consumers for Mi 10i. ₹200 Crore worth of sales within 1st sale is a major milestone and we are happy to announce that. Mi brand aims to bring the latest and the best technology to our Mi Fans,” said Manu Jain, Managing Director, Mi India.

“Mi 10i is our first device of this decade from the house of ‘Mi' that offers the revolutionary 108MP camera coupled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G and future proof 5G technology. Going forward too the Mi brand will aim to bring the latest and the best technology to our Mi Fans in India,” he added.

Mi 10i specifications

Mi 10i comes with a 6.67-inch full HD+ display with HDR 10+ support and 120Hz refresh rate. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the back and front. The smartphone runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G processor, and it packs a 4,820mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It is available in 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB combinations.

The quad-rear camera setup offers a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

In terms of connectivity, the handset supports 5G, 4G, dual VoLTE, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1 and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor. On the software front, it runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box.
