Apple to launch two new AirPods this year with water resistance, noise cancelling support
Apple new AirPods launch: Apple is planning to release two more AirPods later this year. Apple AirPods 2 successor could come with a new design, noise cancelling and water resistance.
After a long wait Apple finally launched the second-generation AirPods. It looks like the iPhone maker isn't done yet as a new report suggests two models of AirPods 3 launching later this year.
Long time Apple analyst, Ming Chi-Kuo predicted said that Apple will launch two variants of AirPods during Q4 2019. One variant will be an incremental upgrade to the present AirPods 2, while the other will come with a new design, 9to5mac reports.
The first AirPods 3 model will carry the same design language, and is also said to cost the same as AirPods 2. As for the more premium AirPods 3, this model will come in a new form-factor along with a higher price tag. Some reports suggest noise cancelling and water resistance features arriving with the AirPods 3.
Apple launched its updated AirPods earlier this March. AirPods 2 come with a more powerful chip, updated wireless features and a wireless charging case as well. AirPods 2 is also available with a normal case priced at ₹ ₹14,900, and separately with a wireless charging case at ₹ ₹18,900.
AirPods users can also buy the wireless charging case at ₹7,500. The wireless charging case is Qi compatible, and comes with Lightning port for charging.
On the AirPods 2, users can activate Siri by simply saying "Hey Siri". AirPods 2 are also powered by the new H1 chip which is said to be two times faster than the previous W1 chip. The new chip is also claimed to offer 30% lower gaming latency.
