Samsung started showing ads in its stock apps last year. Since then, several users took to social media platforms to complain about those pesky ads. If you are one of those users, we have good news for you. Samsung has announced that it will stop showing ads in its stock apps. You will see no ads on proprietary apps including Samsung Weather, Samsung Pay, and Samsung Theme. Moreover, the company aims to roll out the update to remove ads from apps later this year.

The latest development was first reported by Yonhap, which was based on comments made by Samsung mobile chief TM Roh in an internal town hall meeting. Since then, the company has confirmed to several outlets that it will indeed stop its non-user-friendly activity.

“Samsung has made a decision to cease the advertisement on proprietary apps including Samsung Weather, Samsung Pay, and Samsung Theme,” said the company.” It added, “the update will be ready by later this year.”
