Snap’s Phone Swap India debuts today: Where and how to watch it

Snap’s first original series for India, Phone Swap India, is premiering today on the platform. This 12-episode series has been filmed in Mumbai and can be watched from today itself.

The main idea behind this series is that two strangers on a date are made to swap phones and they can go through each other’s devices and then decide if they want to go on a second date or not. (Snap)

Snap announced the first of its original series for India, Phone Swap India, on March 25 and the 12-episode series is premiering today. Phone Swap has been a long-standing Snap original in the US and is currently in its 12th season there and as many as 69 million viewers have watched it on the Snapchat Discover page.

The main idea behind this series is that two strangers on a date are made to swap phones and they can go through each other's devices and then decide if they want to go on a second date or not.

The Indian version of Phone Swap has been shot in Mumbai and the one-minute promo shared by Snapchat on YouTube show various people on a first date who are eventually asked to trade phones. Once that happens, the couples discover new information about each other and at the end of it they are asked if they would like to go on a second date.

Snap has said that this first original will be followed by many others. Another Snap original (starring rapper Raftaar) is going to be announced soon, along with exclusive creator shows featuring Vir Das, Anushka Sen and Ruhi Singh.
