Twitter’s Trends and Search results face early morning glitch, it’s all sorted now
Tweets for Trends and Search results faced a little issue early morning today, going down for minutes globally and not loading for users.
Twitter's Trends and Search results faced a little bit of trouble early morning today with Twitter Support informing users that some Trends and Search results might not be loading right now. The handle also mentioned that they were working on a fix.
The issue was sorted in less than minutes and Twitter Support let users know that tweets should be loading for both Trends and Search results within 13 minutes of their earlier tweet.
Some Trends and Search results may not be loading right now. We're working on a fix so you can see those Tweets again.

Not many people actually spotted the issue and Twitter was able to fix it in a matter of minutes. And ironically, the platform faced this glitch just after they announced a new feature for trending tweets on the platform.
No more having to scroll through Tweets to find out why something's trending.

Starting today, some trends on Android and iOS will show a Tweet that gives context right away. More on Trend improvements: https://t.co/qiGeL9Kg31 pic.twitter.com/Y9nilckl8B
As the blog explains, Twitter is making it easier for users to understand why a topic is trending without having to scroll through all the tweets. “Trends show what everyone is talking about right now. But too often, we look at one word or phrase trending on Twitter and ask, ‘why is this trending?',” the blog reads.
The blog goes on to explain that in the coming weeks, users should be able to see brief descriptions added to some trends to help add context. These descriptions will help provide straightforward, clearly sourced context around why something is trending and you will no longer need to ask anyone about it.
Twitter added that representative tweets and descriptions on trends will be available in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, France, India, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
To bring more clarity to the conversation, we hope to add more context to more trends over time, the platform added.
