A PIN can now be added to a print job with the new Windows 10 printing interface. A print job that has a PIN attached to it won't publish until the PIN is entered on the printer. This is one of the new techniques for preventing double connections and incorrect prints. According to Microsoft, PIN integration could reduce paper and toner waste. Users will also benefit from greater security and privacy at the same time, especially in settings with several printers.

Microsoft is also integrating support for the Print Support App (PSA) platform into Windows 10 for enterprise customers. This enables businesses to enhance the print experience by adding features and print workflows without installing any new drivers. With the release of Build 19044.1806 (KB5014666), which is accessible in the Release Preview Channel, Windows 11's new printing functionality will be coming to Windows 10.
