Apple is currently hosting its annual developer conference, WWDC 2018 in San Jose, California. Apple began the event with focus on software updates for its platforms. Apple announced iOS 12 with upgrades on performance, AR, and the Photos app. Apple also made announcements for its digital assistant, Siri.

Apple's Siri gets a new 'Shortcuts' feature. Users can set their own Siri shortcuts for different apps or choose from pre-loaded ones. You can assign your own phrase for Siri which will launch the app without you having it launch it. For example, you can set a shortcut 'Find my keys' for Tiles app and speak out the said command to Siri and it will launch the app.

Siri also comes with 'Suggestions' which will work based on your daily usage of your iPhone or iPad. Siri will monitor your usage and suggest tasks accordingly. For example if there's a daily habit like ordering the same coffee, Siri will suggest this action on your lockscreen. You can simply tap on the suggestion and Siri will order the coffee without having to open the app. Siri will also suggest users to disable notifications for applications they don't use frequently.
