Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G launches in India along with Mi Beard Trimmer 2, Mi Powerbank Hypersonic 50W

The Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G launches in India at a starting price of ₹26,999. The company has also launched the Mi Bear Trimmer 2 and Mi Powerbank 50W.

Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G in India as an extension of the Mi 11 Lite series. Using the company's new branding, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE retains most of the same features as the 4G variant but gets a new 5G network-compatible Snapdragon 778G chipset. The 5G variant also gets a new Diamond Dazzle colour variant in addition to the existing three colours.

Before that, here is what the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G costs. There is a base version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that will cost ₹26,999. The other variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost ₹28,999. Xiaomi will put the phone on sale starting from October 2 at 12 midnight via Amazon and Xiaomi's own store networks. There are bank offers of ₹2,000 off and a special Diwali discount offer of ₹1,500 off.

Xiaomi has also revealed the Mi Beard Trimmer 2 at ₹1,999 with USB-C charging, LED battery display and IPX7 rating, which goes on sale from October 3. The Mi PowerBank Hypersonic 50W will cost ₹3,599, supporting fast charging up to 50W.

The biggest change with the 5G variant of the Mi 11 Lite is the core chipset. Instead of the Snapdragon 732G chip from the 4G variant, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE gets the faster Snapdragon 778G chipset. Along with support for the 5G networks, the phone also supports Dual SIM 5G similar to the MediaTek Dimensity chips.

Xiaomi says that the new chip allows the phone's 64-megapixel camera to offer superior camera performance with its better ISP. The 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and the 5-megapixel macro camera stay unchanged, with the latter now allowing video recording in 1080p resolution.

The display too remains largely unchanged with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a flexible OLED display. However, the 5G variant gets support for the Dolby Vision format along with the Widevine L1 support. The refresh rate remains the same at ₹90Hz.

Xiaomi is launching the phone with its MIUI 12.5 experience based on Android 11. The company is now promising three years of Android OS updates and four years of security updates. There is a 4250mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
