Xiaomi launched its fourth-generation bezel-less smartphone, Mi MIX 3. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 packs a whopping 10GB of RAM along with a sliding camera.Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 starts at CNY 3,299 for the base model with 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage. Mi MIX 3 with 8GB+128GB will retail at 3,599 and the top model (10GB+256GB) at CNY 3,999. Xiaomi also unveiled a special edition of Mi MIX 3 featuring a ceramic body and the legendary Xiezhi creature. This edition of Mi MIX 3 carries a price tag of CNY 4,999.Mi MIX 3 has the same bezel-less display as the previous Mi MIX smartphones. It however features a new sliding form factor for its 24MP+2MP selfie camera module. There’s a dual-camera setup at the rear too which is a combination of 12MP cameras. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor. The base model of Mi MIX 3 (6GB+128GB) is priced at CNY 3,299. The 8GB+128GB model will retail at CNY 3,599. The top model of Mi MIX 3 with 10GB RAM and 256GB storage will be available at CNY 3,999.

Xiaomi Mi MIX3 comes with slow motion video recording support. The smartphone can record slo-mo videos at 960 frames per second.

Xiaomi says that Mi MIX 3 has DxOMark score of 103.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3: Quad-camera setup
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 features AI-powered dual-camera setup at the front and rear. There's a 12MP+12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture dual camera combination at the rear. Up front the smartphone houses a 24MP+2MP dual-camera module with Sony IMX576 sensor for selfies.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 features a sliding form factor for its selfie camera. You slide the phone from the back, and the selfie camera pops up. Xiaomi compares the sliding design to the old slider phones.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 features a Full HD+ 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a 93.4% screen-to-body ratio.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Mi MIX 3 will boast 10GB of RAM. Mi MIX 3 will be the first smartphone to pack 10GB of RAM. In comparison, Mi MIX 2 offers 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor. Some reports suggest it could run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 3: New camera design
Xiaomi has made its bezel-less display work by placing the front camera at the bottom chin. With the Mi MIX 3, the company is taking a different turn by adding a sliding for factor. Similar to the Oppo Find X, the front camera will slide up on top the smartphone. Vivo Nex also has a pop-up selfie camera to accommodate its edge-to-edge display.

For selfies, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will feature a 24-megapixel selfie camera. The front camera will be accompanied by selfie-light. This is a big upgrade over the Mi MIX 2 which has a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.

Like the previous Mi MIX smartphones, Mi MIX 3 will also be designed by Phillipe Starck. Xiaomi's launch event for today is titled ‘Art x Technology'.

Another camera feature highlighted by Xiaomi is slow motion video recording. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will be capable of shooting slo-mo videos. It hasn't been announced at how many frames per second the slow-mo videos can be shot.

Xiaomi has been sharing multiple teasers of its upcoming smartphone. Xiaomi says that the Mi MIX 3 will feature steady hand-held night photography. The company also shared a camera sample of the Mi MIX 3 taken at night.
