Amazfit has launched a new fitness tracker that looks quite similar to the Mi Band 5. The Amazfit Band 5 has been made official in the US, and it comes packed with an array of features including an SpO2 monitor.
In the US, the Amazfit Band 5 costs $45 which translates to roughly ₹3,400. It is scheduled to go on sale on September 21. Amazfit hasn't announced availability of its new fitness band for other markets yet. The Amazfit Band 5 comes in three colour options of black, green, and orange.
In terms of specs, the Amazfit Band 5 features a 1.1-inch AMOLED touch display with up to 45 watch faces. The fitness band also supports customisable watch faces including photos. The Amazfit Band 5 has an SpO2 monitor that's used to measure blood-oxygen levels. It can also track women's menstrual cycles and ovulation periods.
The fitness band supports up to 11 sports modes like indoor and outdoor cycling, swimming, skipping and more. It offers 24/7 heart rate monitoring along with alerts for when the heart rate is high. The fitness band also offers sleep monitoring, and stress monitoring.
The Amazfit Band 5 comes equipped with Amazon Alexa for voice assistant support. It can be used to set reminders, control smart devices and of course ask questions. The fitness band has 5 ATM for water resistance. Amazfit promises up to 15 days of battery life on normal usage, and up to 25 days on power-saving mode. The fitness band has a 125mAh battery.
