Apple Fitness+ is launching in December 14: Everything you need to know
Apple’s Fitness+ workout service is launching globally on December 14 and here’s what you need to know about its price, features and compatible devices.
Apple had announced Apple Fitness+ along with the Apple Watch Series 6 earlier this year in September and had mentioned then that the workout service is going to be made available sometime by the end of 2020.
Apple has confirmed now that Apple Fitness+will be launching on December 14.
Apple Fitness+ is basically a paid fitness service that is designed to work with the Apple Watch. It will offer 10 types of workouts including high intensity interval training (HIIT), yoga, dance, strength, core, cycling, rowing, treadmill and mindful cooldown.
The service is going to be launched for $9.99/month ( ₹700/month approx) or $79.99/year ( ₹5,800 approx) in the US. The Apple Fitness+ service can be shared with up to six family members.

As an introductory offer, people buying Apple Watch Series 3 and newer Apple Watch devices will get three months of Apple Fitness+ for free. Existing Apple Watch users will get one month of Apple Fitness+ subscription for free.
Apple Fitness+ will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand from December 14. Apple should announce the availability for more countries soon, including India.
The Apple Fitness+ service also comes bundled with the Apple One Premier plan. Apple One's Premier plan is priced at $29.95/ month ( ₹2,200 approx) and offers Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and 2TB of iCloud storage. The Apple One Premier plan can also be shared by six family members.

For those interested in Apple Fitness+, you need to have Apple Watch Series 3 or newer devices paired with iPhone 6s or newer devices. Your devices must be updated with watchOS 7.2 and iOS 14.3 along with iPadOS 14.3, and tvOS 14.3. For Apple Watch users, Apple Fitness+ will automatically appear as a new tab in the Fitness app on the iPhone.
iPad users will have to download the Fitness app from the App Store.
If you are planning to use Apple Fitness+ on the iPad, you need iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation or later), iPad mini 4 or later, iPad Air 2, or iPad Air (3rd generation or later).
On Apple TV, the Fitness app will automatically appear once the user upgrades to tvOS 14.3. Apple Fitness+ is supported on Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD.
