Apple had announced Apple Fitness+ along with the Apple Watch Series 6 earlier this year in September and had mentioned then that the workout service is going to be made available sometime by the end of 2020.
Apple has confirmed now that Apple Fitness+will be launching on December 14.
Apple Fitness+ is basically a paid fitness service that is designed to work with the Apple Watch. It will offer 10 types of workouts including high intensity interval training (HIIT), yoga, dance, strength, core, cycling, rowing, treadmill and mindful cooldown.
The service is going to be launched for $9.99/month ( ₹700/month approx) or $79.99/year ( ₹5,800 approx) in the US. The Apple Fitness+ service can be shared with up to six family members.
As an introductory offer, people buying Apple Watch Series 3 and newer Apple Watch devices will get three months of Apple Fitness+ for free. Existing Apple Watch users will get one month of Apple Fitness+ subscription for free.
Apple Fitness+ will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand from December 14. Apple should announce the availability for more countries soon, including India.
The Apple Fitness+ service also comes bundled with the Apple One Premier plan. Apple One’s Premier plan is priced at $29.95/ month ( ₹2,200 approx) and offers Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and 2TB of iCloud storage.
