Garmin launches Venu 2, Venu 2S in India: Check out price, specs

Garmin has launched the Venu 2 and Venu 2S GPS smartwatches in India. The latest devices joining the Venu series come with a new built-in Health Snapshot feature that allows users to log a two-minute session that can record key health statistics, including heart rate, heart rate variability, pulse oxygen, respiration, and stress. This helps generate a report via the Garmin Connect app to monitor your statistics better. The new Venu 2 and Venu 2S come with improved interface designs that make it easier for users to find more ways to work out with enhanced strength training profiles and muscle map graphics.

Both the Venu 2 and the Venu 2S come integrated with a range of health features like respiration tracking, Pulse Ox sensor, body battery energy monitoring, stress tracking, pregnancy, and menstrual cycle monitoring, sleep monitoring, etc. the 24/7 heart rate tracking is user-configurable for alerts and can alert the user for high and low readings. The smartwatches also come with support for health features like fitness age and the body battery feature can guide users by showing them how “charged” their body is so as they can schedule their workouts accordingly.

The Venu 2/2S tracks light, deep, and REM sleep stages as well as movement, Pulse Ox, and respiration when you are sleeping to get you a sleep score. This new sleep score is powered by Firstbeat Analytics and users receive a score based on the quality and quantity of the previous night's sleep.

The new advanced strength training profile and workouts on the Venu 2 series put weight scaling and strength PRs right on the device and include graphics showing which muscle groups were getting worked on. There are also new activity profiles for HIIT (including AMRAP, EMOM, Tabata, and custom timers), indoor climbing, bouldering, and hiking. The Venu 2 and the Venu 2S have over 25 built-in indoor and GPS sports apps with favorites that include walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, golf, Pilates, and yoga. You can download preset workouts from Garmin Connect and create your own customisable workouts by choosing from 1,400 exercises. The Venu 2 series is also compatible with Garmin Coach and its free adaptive training plans.

The Venu 2 and the Venu 2S also comes with automatic incident detection (during outdoor walks, runs, or rides) and manually triggered assistance alerts both of which send real-time locations to emergency contacts. And LiveTrack lets friends and family track the user's outdoor activity. Besides this, there are features like built-in music where you can download up to 650 songs from Spotify or Amazon Music, text and message notifications, calendar reminders, incoming call alerts, customisable watch faces, etc. You can use the Venu 2 and the Venu 2S with both Android and Apple smartphones and the new smartwatches promise a battery life of up to 11 days in smartwatch mode and up to 8 hours in GPS mode on the Venu 2 and 10 days on smartwatch mode and up to 7 hours in GPS mode on Venu 2S and with rapid recharging.

The Venu 2 and Venu 2S come with 45mm watch case and 40mm watch case respectively and the Venu 2 comes with a 22mm band and the Venu 2S comes with an 18mm band. The Venu 2 is available with a silver bezel and a granite blue case and with a slate bezel with a black case. The Venu 2S is available with a slate bezel and a graphite case and a rose gold bezel with a white case. The Vene 2 is priced at ₹41,990 and the Venu 2S is priced at ₹37,990.
