Here’s what the Apple AirPods 3 might look like
Live images of the Apple AirPods 3 have been leaked and while this iteration has a lot in common with the AirPods Pro, there are some little changes.
Apple's AirPods 3 might be released next month and we've had a look at a few renders floating around already. Now, a Chinese audio blog called 52audio has given us a live look of the next-gen TWS earbuds with two leaked images.
Going by these images, the design on the Apple AirPods 3 looks like what we've already seen in the renders, they come with a shorter stem than the AirPods 2 and look quite similar to the AirPods Pro.
The top part of the AirPods 3 look very much like the AirPods Pro, however, the pictures don't have the silicon tips so we cannot see if Apple is going to go with the “in-ear” silicone tips as suggested earlier by some renders.
Some reports suggest that the AirPods 3 is going to borrow the interchangeable ear tip design from the AirPods Pro to provide a more snug in-ear fit. Also, while the AirPods Pro have clickable stems, the AirPods 3 is expected to have touch surfaces.
The carrying/charging case is wider than what we've seen on the AirPods 2, more in line with what the AirPods Pro has. The 52audio report states that the battery life on the AirPods 3 should be the same as it is on the AirPods 2, about five hours in total, without the charging case.
The AirPods 3 might also come with features like quick switching that's already there on the older AirPods and the AirPods Pro.
Rumour has it that the AirPods 3 are going to come with Spatial Audio that we've experienced on the AirPods Max and the AirPods Pro but might skip on noise cancellation. The AirPods 3 is being pegged to cost $150 ( ₹10,876 approx) and should launch sometime in March along with the Apple AirTags and the mini-LED iPad Pro.
