Huawei has been consistent with its smartwatch lineup since years and the latest in the series is the ‘GT' portfolio. However, we may see a ‘premium' smartwatch lineup in future that goes in sync with the company's ‘Mate' smartphone series. The reference to this new ‘Mate' branded smartwatch surfaced the web via a screengrab of the ‘trademarking application' by the MyFixGuide website. With International Classification 9, the brand name mentioned is ‘Huawei Mate Watch' although we are not sure if this will be the final marketing name of the wearable or not.

There's no word when this ‘Mate Watch' lineup will be launched, but rumours on the web suggest that Huawei might as well replace the current GT watch series with this one. The company usually launches its flagship Mate-branded smartphone later in the year so it might be a possibility that we see the rumoured ‘premium' smartwatch later this year.
