Huawei is betting big on its proprietary Harmony operating system (HarmonyOS) as it looks to recover from the US sanctions that have hit its core businesses hard. The company at its June 2 event showcased a range of new products with HarmonyOS 2.0. The lineup also features Huawei's first-ever smartwatch with the proprietary OS.
Huawei has launched Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro. The base model will be available in China for a starting price of CNY 2,600 ( ₹29,000 approximately). The premium version is priced slightly higher at CNY 3,300 ( ₹37,700 approximately).

The smartwatch comes with a 3D rotating crown. The company says the crown helps better navigation. It also lets users control the navigation with wet and gloved hands. The wearable houses a 1.43-inch AMOLED panel with 1,000 nits of peak brightness and 326ppi pixel density. It also comes with 5ATM water resistance. Huawei is also giving a few strap options - Active (with a silicone strap), Classic (leather strap), Elite (metal band) and Classic (Milanese band).
As expected, the smartwatch comes with a bunch of fitness and health-focused features. These include a heart rate monitor, blood oxygen (Spo2) monitor, and even a skin temperature sensor. There are also stress and sleep trackers. The device ships with more than 100 modes.
Huawei has not revealed the chipset under the hood but confirmed it comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. On the software front, it also comes with AppGallery. The wearable also comes with e-SIM support. It is said to deliver up to 3 days of battery life with 4G enabled. The power-saving mode, Ultra-Long Lasting, stretches the battery life to up to 14 days.
