Redmi Buds 3 has been launched at an introductory price of CNY 159 (which is 1,800 approx) via a crowdfunding campaign.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Buds 3, its latest offering in the TWS (true wireless stereo) segment. These new earbuds have an AirPods-like design and the company claims that they can deliver about 20-hours of playback on a single charge. The Redmi Buds 3 is powered by a Qualcomm processor and the buds are suited with clear voice capture (cVc) noise-canceling technology that cuts ambient sounds and reduces echo during calls. These buds also have touch control, like almost all other TWS offerings.

Redmi Buds 3 specs and features

The Redmi Buds 3 have 12mm large drivers powered by the Qualcomm QC3040 SoC. They also support Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive audio decoding technology that promises high-definition sound via Bluetooth. Xiaomi says that the Redmi Buds 3 deliver a latency rate of as low as 95 milliseconds when they are paired with flagship devices, including the likes of the Redmi K40 Pro.

Touch controls on the Redmi Buds 3 allow users to control the music playback, change tracks, answer calls, etc, by tapping on the back of the buds. If you are on a Xiaomi/Redmi device running MIUI 12 or later, there is a one-step quick pairing feature available via a pop-up window. The Redmi Buds 3 have two mics on each earbud that work with Qualcomm’s cVc tech to provide noise reduction during calls.

Each Redmi Buds 3 earbud can deliver up to 5 hours of playback on a single charge and the bundled charging case can extend the battery life up to 20 hours. These buds also support quick charge that provides 1.5 hours of playback on 10 minutes of charging. These earbuds weigh 4.5 gms each.
