Samsung just launched their new Galaxy Buds 2 at the Galaxy Unpacked event a bit ago and while these TWS are not Samsung's most premium offering, they do have some features that its other buds don't. Particularly the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro which is currently the company's top-of-the-line product. To make up for this, Samsung has released a new firmware update that brings in some of the Galaxy Buds 2 features to the Galaxy Buds Pro.

This new firmware update for the Galaxy Buds Pro is currently available in South Korea, it might roll out more globally soon, but we are yet to hear any news about that. The update brings in Ambient Sound support during calls, the ability to activate Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) mode with just one earbud, and Ambient Sound customisations. The update might also bring in some bug fixes and device stability improvements, but we don't have those details.

The update comes with firmware version R190XXUA0UH5. To get this new update, you need to update the Galaxy Buds Pro plugin app on your smartphone to the latest version - 3.0.21082751. Since this is not available outside South Korea yet, you won't be able to access this right now. You might have to wait for a bit for Samsung to roll out this firmware update elsewhere.

If you do not have the Galaxy Buds Pro and are considering buying the Galaxy Buds 2, Samsung's new Galaxy Buds 2 have been launched at a price point of 11,999 in India and are available in Graphite, White, Olive Green, and Lavender colour options. The buds can be pre-booked online on Samsung.com and in offline retail stores.

Samsung also launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, Galaxy Z FLip 3 5G, and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 classic at the same Galaxy Unpacked event along with the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. The smartwatch and the buds are available for prebooking right now and the foldable smartphones are available for purchase in the country already.
