Samsung is expected to launch its first smart tracker this month. Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag has been showing up on leaks leading up to the launch. Images of the smart tracker have now been revealed on certification site NCC.

The Galaxy Smart Tag on NCC is seen in black colour along with the branding “Galaxy SmartTag”, according to the images shared by 91mobiles. These images also show a square design with rounded edges for the Galaxy Smart Tag, and a hole for a strap. There's also a button on the tracker for the users to press to find a connected device. The Galaxy Smart Tag was previously listed on the South Korean certification authority site with the same design and in black and oatmeal colours.

The Galaxy Smart Tag is expected to work with Samsung's SmartThings Find app. An earlier report by 91mobiles had also tipped the Galaxy Smart Tag to cost 15 euros ( 1,400 approx). This will be Samsung's first smart tracker but its functionality is expected to be the same as Tile which uses BLE to connect to nearby devices. Tile users can find connected devices through its smartphone app.

More details on the Galaxy Smart Tag will be revealed by Samsung on January 14. The smart tracker will be launched alongside the Galaxy S21 series featuring the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Samsung is also expected to launch its new TWS, Galaxy Buds Pro, at this event.
